While I was away on work business, I checked my book’s Amazon page (as I randomly do from time to time), and I noticed I now had twenty ratings. I know to most authors that sell well on Amazon, that’s nothing, but this is the first book that I self-published, self-designed, and self-marketed. It means so much to me. Within those twenty ratings, twelve of them actually wrote reviews. All of them are five-star reviews and ratings. To say that I am overwhelmed is a great understatement.
First of all, I am just so grateful that people would take time out of their days to sit and read my book. I am not a big reader, so I know the dedication that it takes to read a book from start to finish. Even so, I know how many books that are out there in this world that they could have read instead of mine, and yet, they read MY BOOK. I am blown away by just knowing that. Thank you to my readers. Seriously, thank you.
I love hearing from you all as well. It’s so exciting to be able to talk about my book and those who enjoyed reading it–who enjoyed the story. It really is a very unique high. I’m not sure I could ever get tired of doing so.
I’m going to end this post by leaving some of the latest reviews that have come through. Thank you, again, so much!
A Must Read
“I haven’t read a YA book in a long time. This book made me remember all of the wonderful things that YA books encapsulate: perspective, laughter, hope, innocence, and relatability. It made me reminisce on my favorite books growing up and why/how those books ultimately helped me love reading. No One Knows About You is truly a delightful read for all ages. Montoya’s writing immediately has you rooting for Brianna and Ricardo with well-thought-out characters and realistic high school troubles. I laughed, I cried, and I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait to see what else Montoya creates.”
Meaningful slice of life
“This book is absolutely captivating from start to finish. Even though it’s geared towards a younger audience, even as an adult I found myself absolutely invested in the characters and story itself. The author does a wonderful job of creating relatable moments, that happen in ways that are unique to this book. Intentionally crafted, this book is a lovely read and I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to laugh, cry, and grow along with the characters in the story.”
Characters you will love!
“I cared about the characters in this book almost instantly. They seem like people I know (or would like to know). I’m hoping the main characters return in a follow-up novel…maybe a series? This is a story anyone who has ever been a high school student will enjoy. The up-and-down emotions of a young relationship are portrayed with a light touch that lets every reader experience again the joys, excitement, and insecurities we all know. I highly recommend this well-written and fun to read book.”
A great read! Can make you cry!
“This book may target a younger audience however I am in the older age group and I truly enjoyed it!
The book highlights a young man’s struggle with self-image. It brings true awareness to true examples of what young teens really are facing in this world today. I enjoyed reading the relationship growth between Ricardo and Brianna. The book takes you on ride and unexpected turn.
You will enjoy how the author really tells the story from male perspective which you don’t find often in a teen romance. I recommend it!”
